I was surrounded by lots of nice people on Saturday

All were nice
They talked to me
Worried if I needed something to drink
but I still on the outside
knocking on the door
trying to force myself in
...
then you go for dinner with a friend you haven't talked for so long
and even after 3 years with barely exchanging a word
the conversation flows
and it feels just right
to be there
I belong
Why here? Why not there?
